Οι Προβλέψεις Για Τις Υποψηφιότητες των Oscar

ΤΑΙΝΙΑ
Το «Lord of the Rings: The Return of the King» και το «Mystic River» Θα είναι σίγουρα υποψήφια συνεχίζοντας το σερί των διακρίσεών τους από τις ενώσεις κριτικών. Το «Seabiscuit» έχοντας την υποστήριξη της Dreamworks και το «Cold Mountain» έχοντας πίσω του την Miramax αλλά και τις πολλές υποψηφιότητες στις Χρυσές Σφαίρες και στα βραβεία της Βρετανικής Ακαδημίας, θα είναι κι αυτά λογικά υποψήφια. Το «Lost In Translation» έχει πολλούς οπαδούς κυρίως τους κύκλους των κριτικών, αλλά ίσως είναι πολύ ανεξάρτητη και μικρή ταινία για την πεντάδα της καλύτερης ταινίας. Το οικογενειακό δράμα μεταναστών «In America» έχει επίσης πολλούς υποστηρικτές, όμως την πεντάδα μάλλον θα συμπληρώσει η ναυτική περιπέτεια «Master and Commander».

ΣΚΗΝΟΘΕΤΗΣ
Ο Peter Jackson θα είναι και πάλι υποψήφιος μετά το «Lord of the Rings: The Fellowship of the Ring», αφού η Ακαδημία δεν πρόκειται να τον αγνοήσει, όπως συνέβη πέρυσι με το «The Two Towers». H Sophia Coppola θα γίνει μάλλον η τρίτη γυναίκα σκηνοθέτης (και πρώτη αμερικανίδα) που θα είναι υποψήφια για Oscar μετά την Jane Campion για τα «Μαθήματα Πιάνου» και την Lina Wertmuller ΄Seven Beauties», ενώ ο Clint Eastwood θα είναι και πάλι υποψήφιος μετά την νίκη του για τους «Ασυγχώρητους». Οι Gary Ross, Peter Weir και Anthony Minghella θα μονομαχήσουν για τις υπόλοιπες 2 θέσεις τις οποίες όμως εποφθαλμιούν με αξιώσεις και οι Jim Sheridan και Ed Zwick.

Α ΑΝΤΡΙΚΟΣ ΡΟΛΟΣ
Οι υποψηφιότητες για τους Sean Penn, Bill Murray και Ben Kingsley είναι εξασφαλισμένες. Ο Johnny Depp κατάφερε τελικά να μείνει στην μνήμη των ψηφοφόρων των Χρυσών Σφαιρών και της Ενώσεως Ηθοποιών, παρόλο που το «Pirates of the Caribbean» βγήκε στις αμερικάνικες αίθουσες το καλοκαίρι μακριά από την «οσκαρική» περίοδο, και το ίδιο μάλλον θα καταφέρει και με τους ψηφοφόρους των Oscar. Έτσι μένει μία θέση στην πεντάδα που διεκδικείται κυρίως από τους άρχοντες του Χόλιγουντ Russell Crowe και Tom Cruise, αλλά και ο Jude Law που θα προταθεί αν το «Cold Mountain» σαρώσει στις υποψηφιότητες.

Α ΓΥΝΑΙΚΕΙΟΣ ΡΟΛΟΣ
Η φετινή έκπληξη ακούει στο όνομα Charlise Theron, η οποία υποδυόμενη μια κατά συρροή δολοφόνο και χαλώντας την αψεγάδιαστη εξωτερική της εμφάνιση, έχει μαζέψει τόσα βραβεία κριτικών ώστε να θεωρείται φαβορί για το Oscar. Βασική αντίπαλός της η βετεράνος Diane Keaton που στο «Something»s Gotta Give» κατάφερε να κλέψει την παράσταση από τον συμπρωταγωνιστή της Jack Nicholson. Οι κολλητές φίλες εξ Αυστραλίας Naomi Watts και Nicole Kidman θα είναι και αυτές υποψήφιες παρόλο που η πρώτη αγνοήθηκε από τις Χρυσές Σφαίρες και η δεύτερη από τα βραβεία της Ενώσεως Ηθοποιών. Σε περίπτωση που η Evan Rachel Wood προταθεί, θα είναι η νεαρότερη υποψήφια στην κατηγορία στην ιστορία των Oscar, ενώ ελπίδες έχει και η επίσης νεότατη Scarlet Johanson. H Patricia Clarkson έκανε την έκπληξη κερδίζοντας υποψηφιότητα στα βραβεία των Ηθοποιών και διατηρεί έτσι ελπίδες και για τα Oscar, το ίδιο και η Jennifer Connelly αν και δεν είχε την αναμενόμενη υποστήριξη από τις ενώσεις κριτικών.

Οι μόνοι που μπορούν να κοιμούνται σίγουροι ότι θα προταθούν σίγουρα είναι οι Tim Robbins και Alec Baldwin. Από εκεί και πέρα το χάος, αφού 9 ηθοποιοί κυνηγούν με αξιώσεις 3 υποψηφιότητες. Περισσότερες πιθανότητες φαίνεται να έχουν οι Benicio Del Toro, Albert Finney, Ken Watanabe, Sean Astin και Peter Sarsgaard, δεν μπορούμε όμως να υποτιμήσουμε και τους William H.Macy, Chris Cooper, Djimon Hounsou και Paul Bettany.

Β ΓΥΝΑΙΚΕΙΟΣ ΡΟΛΟΣ
H Patricia Clarkson και η Renne Zellweger είναι τα σίγουρα στοιχήματα, ενώ αρκετά σίγουρη θεωρείται και η παρουσία της Holly Hunter στην πεντάδα. Η Scarlet Johanson έχει πολλές ελπίδες να προταθεί για το Lost In Translation, αν οι ψηφοφόροι ακολουθήσουν την διαφημιστική καμπάνια της ταινίας και παραβλέψουν το γεγονός ότι κανονικά ανήκει στην κατηγορία Α Γυναικείου Ρόλου αφού είναι η πρωταγωνίστρια. Η Maria Bello προτάθηκε και για Χρυσή Σφαίρα και για το Βραβείο των Ηθοποιών οπότε μια υποψηφιότητα για Oscar είναι φυσικό επακόλουθο, ενώ η Marcia Gay Harden καταφέρνει να ξεχωρίσει στο «Mystic River» στο το οποίο ελπίδες διάκρισης έχει και η Laura Linney. Ελπίδες όμως έχουν και δύο σχετικά άγνωστες στην Αμερική ηθοποιοί: η μικρή Νέο Ζηλανδή Keisha Catle Hughes, και κυρίως η ιρανή καρατερίστα Shohreh Aghdashloo, πρωταγωνίστρια πολλών ταινιών του Κιαροστάμι.
